"Grave of the Fireflies: Through the Eyes of Children Left Behind" is a Ghibli film screening of the movie with the same title and a talkback session with Ms. Lourdes Veneracion, the chairperson of the Ateneo Political Science Department, and Ms. Cha Castaño, the Public Relations Officer of Gabriela Women’s Partylist. The session centers on informing the audience on the psychosocial and political effects of war on children, and confront their silent suffering, often rendered invisible by violence and forgotten by systems meant to protect them. The event invites us to walk with these children by bearing witness to their pain and asking the question, "How we can uphold their dignity in a world that often looks away?"
